Overview

yb.zone (“we”) operates the yb.zone mobile app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Data we collect

• Account: email, handle, profile info (name, gender, date of birth, optional city/bio/photo).
• Content you post: vibes, comments, reactions, rant posts (public or feed-visible).
• Messages: encrypted ciphertext and delivery metadata (who, when) — not plaintext.
• Location: when you post, with permission; approximate offsets may apply for privacy.
• Device: session fingerprint (single-device policy), crash/error logs if enabled.

End-to-end encryption

Direct messages and squad chats are encrypted on your device before upload. We cannot read message bodies. Vault (mood journal) is encrypted with keys stored only on your device.

Vibes, rant posts, and comments are not end-to-end encrypted so they can appear on maps/feeds and be moderated.

Third-party services

Firebase (auth), Google Sign-In, Supabase (database/storage/realtime), Mapbox (maps), and optionally Sentry (crashes). Each has its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can edit your profile, sign out, or delete your account in Settings → Account. Deletion removes your profile and associated server data per our retention rules. You can also use our web forms: Delete account and Report a problem.

Security

HTTPS for all traffic. Row Level Security on our database. Sensitive keys in Android Keystore / iOS Keychain. Chat screens block screenshots on Android where supported.

Children

Minimum age 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
